Hello, wonderful preschool families!

The time has come for one of our favorite activities of the school year.  This week, we will complete our studies of the life cycle of birds by observing and caring for a special group of real live chickens.  Currently, we have 7 eggs sitting safe and cozy in an incubator.  The children are carefully observing the eggs each day, eagerly awaiting the first signs of hatching.  Once the chicks emerge from the eggs, we will have the opportunity to observe and care for them as they grow.  This has become such a meaningful and memorable piece of our yearly curriculum.  We are so thankful to the Dollin family for supporting and organizing the process each year!

With our art show quickly approaching, we are also busy gathering and putting final touches on pieces to be displayed!  The children are certainly excited to share their artistic creations.  Through different mediums and styles, we have explored the elements of water, fire, air, and earth.  This year, our art has been quite experiential, engaging the senses and focusing just as much on the process as the product.  We hope that you will all be able to join us us for this special day, May 5th!

As is often true for spring in Ohio, our weather has been a true roller coaster.  We are all eager to spend increased time outside after the long winter, though.   Please consider the forecast of the day, when dressing your child for school.  With varying temperatures and frequent rain, layers and waterproof footwear go a long way in keeping our students comfortable and happy outdoors!  Thank you so much for your support!

Please apply sunscreen at home before coming to school each day. Full day students will need to have extra sunscreen here at school.

We hope you all have a happy and healthy week!
